HSP is formed by musicians well known by the person interested. Its members are masters of their instruments on their own. Together they form a group having the purpose to entertain the public on a high level, and also providing pleasure for themselves with their music.
The quartett represents a rather complex musical style. In their repertory you can find widely known evergreen pieces treated on high artistic level but still played in a way giving light amusement to the audiance. These pieces bare the different characteristics of jazz, giving free play to the fantastic improvisative skills of the musicians and enabling almost new compositions to evolve within the given framework in front of the ears of the public.
Of course the pieces are dominated by pre-composed elements which often set quite difficult professional tasks for the performers. The listener however can hardly sense this, thanks to the easy virtuosity of the artists.
In several countries of the world they have given concerts of great success equallying that of the saxophone cliniques, where hundreds of the worlds young saxophonists have got wiser by their instructions. By no accident are these four people teachers of the future generation of saxophonists, as the name of the group also implies.
Although their art is based on serious preparedness, due to the personalities of the members the performances of the group do not lack tasteful humour, either. Thus even their critics admit that their concerts always represent a fresh patch of colour on the palette of hungarian musical life.
They have long gained popularity in their individual groups, thus their joint music-playing is a real curiosity for both the profession and the great public.
